As the COO, Nate’s role is all about making sure our instructors and education sites have everything they need to deliver outstanding programs to students. From handling logistics to day-to-day problem solving, Nate ensures everything is in place for our programs to shine.

He keeps Adventure Education Solutions running smoothly behind the scenes!

He also serves as the Director of Outdoor Leagues, overseeing our Rock Climbing and Ski & Snowboard leagues. Whether it's scheduling, safety measures, or cheering on participants as they conquer new challenges outdoors, Nate makes sure every detail is covered. His goal is simple: create an environment where students can learn, grow, and have a blast.

Nate earned his degree in Economics from the University of Utah, which launched a career focused on operations and logistics. He spent 18 years managing a large print and fulfillment center in Salt Lake City before taking a leap of faith in 2013, moving his family to California's Central Valley to become a pistachio farmer. Over the next decade, he oversaw the development of 3,800 acres of pistachio orchards until historic flooding in 2022 revived Tulare Lake, which unfortunately claimed his farms. While it was a tough loss, it opened the door to this new career chapter.

With over 25 years of experience in business operations, Nate brings a practical, hands-on approach to managing AES's programs. He's particularly excited about the variety of unique experiences the team creates for students, from outdoor leagues to hands-on intersession camps like woodworking, cooking, LEGO building, bowling, fishing, small engine repair, and craft projects. "I love creating opportunities that spark curiosity and build confidence in kids," Nate shares. "Whether they're discovering a new hobby or tackling an outdoor challenge, it's all about helping them realize their potential and having fun along the way!"

Outside of work, Nate loves spending time in his garden, experimenting in the kitchen, and tackling home improvement projects. He also enjoys working on cars and cheering on his beloved Utah Utes in football and basketball. Go Utes!
